Data Feeds are now Live

Published by under Website Features

We have just completed the development work to allow us to import data from Real Estate firms, which was a major piece of work for us here at FindSpace.

We have been working closely with PortalPusher to design a viable import format and their XML structure ticked all the boxes with us.

CBRE Wellington were the first client to use the feature bringing in about 180 listings in about five minutes.

One Click Re-Listing

Published by under Website Features

As you are aware, every 28 days your listing expires and needs re-listing (a simple one click operation once logged in).  We do this to ensure that the listings on our site are always current.

We are going to make this process even easier in that when we send you the e-mail reminder that your listing has expired there will be a link in the e-mail which you can just click on to re-list your property so need need to login to FindSpace.

However, if you are not getting the response you are seeking you should try re-writing your description and adding some Listing Attributes to freshen up your ad.

Portal Pushing is Coming

Published by under Website Features

Here at FindSpace we are now working on one of the most important parts of our site and that is the ability to import data from large Real Estate Back Office systems and from products such as Portal Pusher.

This capability will allow such firms to seamlessly update FindSpace with their Commercial Listings.  Currently they have to manually add their data into our site and possibly other sites.

Portal Pusher is an independent product that gives agents the ability to enter their listing information once and it looks after re-configuring the data into the correct format for sites such as Sella, TradeMe and RealEstate.co.nz.

All imported listing will be automatically added to our FREE – Keep it Simple plans.

Why do my listings expire?

Published by under Website Features

The current format of FindSpace means listings automatically expire (not deleted) every 28 days.

The reason behind this is as a result of searching other websites and finding a property of interest only to find it was no longer available.  This wastes so much time for buyers and frustrates them greatly.

By expiring listings every 28 days we can ensure the listing is as current as possible as the seller must re-list every 28 days.

The process of re-listing is very simple, all you do is login to FindSpace, go to your Account and you will see all your expired listings highlighted in red.  Just click on re-list to make them active again.

The other options you have are:

Withdraw – which you should do when a property is no longer available.  This keeps the listing details available but it is not displayed.

Delete – to totally remove the listing.

All Expired or Withdrawn listings older than 50 days are automatically deleted by the system.

At anytime you can login to your account and Upgrade your listing to one of the higher profile plans.

Cost per carpark now added

We have now added a field to record the weekly cost per car park.  This will be displayed alongside the number of car parks when viewing a listing.
